Security forces in Bashagard, Hormozgan Province, illegally entered the home of Zeynab Nouraldini, a journalist and civil activist, and confiscated her personal belongings.
In a video statement, Zeynab Nouraldini announced that on June 22, 2025, security forces—without presenting a judicial warrant—entered her home, created an atmosphere of fear and intimidation, and searched the premises. The agents seized her personal items, including her mobile phone, camera, and computer.
Nouraldini protested the extralegal actions of the security forces, criticizing their lack of accountability regarding her inquiries and the violation of her privacy.
Zeynab Nouraldini is a journalist and civil activist residing in Bashagard, Hormozgan Province. She has previously faced judicial and security crackdowns. According to a report by the Defending Free Flow of Information (DeFFI), at least 95 Iranian journalists and media outlets experienced judicial or security actions in the first half of 2025. During this period, at least 19 female journalists faced prison sentences, judicial cases, or security crackdowns. At least six journalists were detained, and in court rulings, Iranian journalists were collectively sentenced to 22 years and three months in prison and fined over 50 million tomans.
