Saideh Shafiei and Rouhollah Nakhaei, journalists imprisoned in Evin Prison in Tehran, have been freed.

Saideh Shafiei was sentenced to three years and seven months and sixteen days in prison. She was transferred to Evin Prison on November 19, 2023, to serve her sentence, and was released on March 2, 2024, after the execution of her sentence was suspended to pursue medical treatment for her illness. However, on September 6, 2024, despite her illness, this journalist was returned to Evin Prison to continue her imprisonment.
